Prolixity in Internet Marketing

I have spent many nights reading a lot of long-winded sales letters, e-books and came to the conclusion that these are quite long since there is a rite of these sales letters, and they must follow certain formal elements to be effective – to ease the reader to show empathy and simpathy to be convincing, they may threaten the reader with price increase to convince them to buy the product soonest possible if not immediately and in general to affect the reader (listener or viewer) to act and so on…

All these may make the internet marketers society redundant. Prolixity like that made me think that it may absorb the attention from the real work, may hide the important elements and prevents you to make money.
